2nd Annual Distillery 98 Paddle Boil

Distillery 98 celebrated it’s two year anniversary by hosting a fun-filled two-day event on Sunday afternoon, May 30 from Noon-5 p.m. The community stopped in to the local distillery for an all-you-can-eat crawfish boil by Sports to Geaux, cocktails, local beer, and wine, Swell Pops popsicles, Sweet Henrietta’s sweet treats and local live music from Cadillac Willy and Boukou Groove. The event was free to attend and open to the public. The distillery auctioned off a YOLO paddleboard during the event and relaunched their Martin Migration vodka. Distillery 98 will also be unveiling their new, Half Shell Vodka, an oyster shell filtered vodka bottled in an eco-friendly, disposable bottle.
A one-mile Memorial Day paddleboard race around Western Lake, benefitting Gulf Therapy, followed on Monday.  Awards were given to the first-place male and female winners, as well as last place and best dressed.
